SIGHT IN INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
A proper zero adjustment is critical to perform before using your XTAC device. The XTAC does not zero quite like a traditional optic, so be sure to carefully follow these instructions.
The XTAC 1 device can be properly zeroed by following this simple three-step process. It is important to complete the steps in order.
- Fire BB’s and adjust iron sights or optic to match the point of impact
- Adjust XTAC Elevation
- Adjust XTAC Windage
STEP 1
Fire BB’s at a paper target between 20-40 yards, and adjust your iron sights or optic to match the point of impact of the BB’s. This ensures proper alignment of your iron sights or optic with your barrel. Once this step is completed, you are ready to begin the adjustment of the XTAC unit.
For Steps 2-3: With one XTAC unit installed on your airsoft gun, place a second XTAC unit, sensor vest, target, or headband downrange at 20 yards. Be sure all devices are powered ON and are set to ZERO MODE. Do not fire BB’s during steps 2-3.
STEP 2
Adjust XTAC Elevation: Elevation refers to raising or lowering the angle of the XTAC laser. From 20 yards, fire downrange at the receiving device until you make consistent hits with your laser. You may have to shoot high, low, left, and right to determine where the laser is impacting.
If you need to aim high to hit, your laser is hitting low
If you need to aim low to hit, your laser is hitting high
If XTAC is top Mounted on your airsoft gun

Turn elevation adjustment Clockwise to bring laser up
Turn elevation adjustment Counterclockwise to bring laser down
If XTAC is bottom Mounted on your airsoft gun

Turn elevation adjustment Counter Clockwise to bring laser up
Turn elevation adjustment Clockwise to bring laser down
STEP 3
Adjust XTAC Windage: Windage refers to moving the angle of the XTAC laser from left to right from 20 yards firing downrange at the receiving device until you make consistent hits with your laser. You may have to shoot high, low, left, and right to determine where the laser is impacting. Repeat steps 2-3 from 50-75 yards to fine-tune and ensure long-range zero.
